Patient and Visitor Bill of Rights at Farda Hospital

1.The patient has the right to expect prompt, effective, and respectful treatment from the care team, regardless of racial, cultural, or religious factors.

2. The patient has the right to know the inpatient room, physician, nurse, and other members of the care team, if desired.

3.The patient has the right to personally request, or through a family member, necessary information from the treating physician about the stages of diagnosis, treatment, and progression of the illness. This should not lead to a delay in continuing treatment or threaten the patient’s life in medical emergencies.

4.The patient has the right to receive necessary information from the treating physician about potential complications or the use of other methods, to the extent of their understanding, and to participate in the final treatment decision.

5.The patient has the right, in case of personal preference and no threat to public health, to declare their personal consent to discontinue treatment or refer to other medical centers according to legal principles.

6.The patient has the right to be assured that the content of the medical record, the results of examinations, and clinical consultations will remain confidential, except in cases where the medical team is legally obligated to disclose information.

7.The patient has the right to be assured of the confidentiality of the physician and other members of the care team, and the acquisition of information by individuals who are not directly involved in the treatment process will be subject to the patient’s permission.

8.The patient has the right to access the treating physician and other key members of the care team during hospitalization, transfer, and after discharge.

9.The patient has the right to be fully informed about the educational and research activities of the hospital that may affect their health and treatment, to express their personal willingness and consent to participate in the treatment, or to refrain from continuing cooperation in the research stages.

10.The patient has the right, if necessary, to be informed about the expertise of the care team, the amount of tariffs, and the insurance coverage of services in the medical center before being referred for further treatment.
